NEW DELHI:Voting in Rajasthan and Telangana is underway for 119 seats in the Telangana assembly elections and 199 seats in Rajasthan after a high-decibel election campaign that saw war of words among contending parties.
The Congress, which is hoping to capture power in Rajasthan, claims there is huge anti-incumbency in the state. Over 2,000 candidates are in the fray for 199 assembly seats in Rajasthan. In Telangana KCR, as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is known, had advance elections by eight months and the newly state is going to assembly polls for the second time since it was formed in June 2014.
Campaigning by political parties came to an end at 5 pm Wednesday and counting of votes will take place on December 11.
