NEW DELHI: Yet another cricketer makes his voice on upcoming Australia vs India series predictions from all corners are flying thick and fast. This time New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum feels Virat Kohli-led India are the stronger of the two teams for an Australia, that is still struggling to rise from the low of ball-tampering scandal.
McCullum further stated that the Aussies are a tough side at their home soil, but feels that the Indian squad look a bit too strong against the weakened hosts. Speaking on the bowling department, Brendon felt Indian bowling attack also got the decent players in their ranks to dismantle Australian lineup.
The current Test series is Australia’s first at home since the ball-tampering scandal earlier this year. The 37-year-old also put the onus on Virat Kohli, who scored 692 runs including four outstanding hundreds during the last tour, to continue leading his talented Indian side from the front. However, McCullum doesn’t feel the Tim Paine-led team will have an edge over India.
