NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday took a sharp jibe at Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao over his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Referring to the meeting of the Chief Minister of Telangana with regional leaders for his proposed front, Mr. Naidu accused KCR of speaking in a double voice and said that he met with Prime Minister Modi just days after meeting several leaders who oppose the policies of the BJP. “Are you meeting Modi to discuss the state’s issues or to brief him (on the proposed front)?” the TDP leader asked KCR.
The Telangana Chief Minister on Wednesday called on Modi in New Delhi. Naidu reiterated that there was no scope for a third front in the country.
KCR had been mooting the idea of a federal front for some time now.
Rahul Gandhi and N Chandrababu Naidu, who were allies in Telangana in assembly polls, had called KCR’s party BJP’s B-team.
