NEW DELHI: Cristiano Ronaldo will be available to face his former club Manchester United  after being handed a one-match ban by Uefa for his red card against Valencia. The Portuguese superstar had given an emotional reaction after being controversially sent off following a collision with Jeison Murillo.

It was the first time he was sent off in 15 years of playing in the Champions League. Ronaldo, a five-time Champions League winner, first won the competition with United in 2008 before leaving for Real Madrid a year later. With a lot of hopes pinned over him, he is expected to repeat his Champions League heroics for Juventus this season.

The 33-year-old left the field in tears on his debut in the competition for Juventus after seeming only to touch Murillo’s head.
