England all-out for 287 Indian openers gave a promising start in opening test match

Edgbaston: The English men were all-out for 287  on day 2 of the opening test match in Edgbaston here today.

England 1st innings: 287 allout in 89.4 overs (J Root 80; R Ashwin 4/62, M Shami 3/64).

England were 285-9 at stumps at day one. Overnight batsman Sam Curran (24) was dismissed this morning by Mohammed Shami. J Root (80) played a vital role to pass the score to 250.

Terrific batting display from both Indian openers. England still searching for their first breakthrough.

Both India openers looking in comfortable. The ball is still moving around but not as much as compared to the start. Both Dhawan(19) and Vijay(16) are looking to rotate the strike trying to unsettle the bowlers along with occasional boundaries.
