Hindu Mahasabha wants to replace Mahatma Gandhi with Veer Savarkar on currency

New Delhi: If everything will go accordingly then you will have face a ‘symbolic’ note-ban and Father of Nation Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi aka Mahatma Gandhi will reach in archives with rupee notes as Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) has requested the Central government to replace Mahatma Gandhi’s picture on Indian currency with the photo of social reformer Veer Savarkar.

ABHM chief Swami Chakrapani has even demanded Bharat Ratna for Savarkar.

The ABHM said that Savarkar paid a great role in India’s freedom movement and hence should be paid respect by featuring him on the currency.
