Maharastra: The Maratha community have announced jail Bharo Andolan, in Azad Maidan,  Mumbai. The police is prepared for need full exercise for any violation of law and order situation.

CM Devendra Fadnavis has requested the protesters to maintain peace. Tight security arrangements have also been made in the state.

The prominent demands of the Maratha community include 50 per cent reservation in jobs and education, implementation of the capital punishment given to accused in the Kopardi rape case and amending the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act to prevent its misuse.

Besides reservation, the outfit has also been demanding for a complete loan waiver, rape case, and a solution to unemployment for their community. About 150 members of the community will stage the protest.

We will stage the Andolan in a peaceful manner so that no more police cases are registered against the protesters,” said MKM coordinator Amol Jadhavrao.

Earlier, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, said we are working for Maratha reservation very honestly and seriously. We want this reservation to sustain and so completing all the legal formalities.
