JAIPUR: Kicking off the last leg of the election campaign in poll-bound Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday invoked the Kartarpur corridor and launched an attack on the Congress while addressing a massive rally in Hanumangarh.

Addressing an election rally in Hanumangarh of poll-bound Rajasthan, PM Modi said said Kartarpur went to Pakistan due to the lack of vision and sensitivity of then Congress leaders. The then policymakers of the Congress in the country were in a hurry to come to power. Partition happened and in that too several mistakes were made for which Kartarpur Saheb became a part of Pakistan,” he said.

According to Modi, Kartarpur is in Pakistan today because then Congress leaders had no idea about the importance of Guru Nanak Dev and had no respect for Sikh sentiments. Had the Congress paid a little bit of attention, Kartarpur Gurdwara, which is just 3 kilometres away, would have been in India  PM alleged.
