NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha succeeded in passing two bills on Thursday before he left the day amid protests from opposition parties. The lower house
passed the Consumer Protection Bill, 2018 and the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities (Amendment) Bill, 2018, was passed.
The Consumer Protection Bill will become law once it goes through the Rajya Sabha. Since the Winter Session began started on December 12, the proceedings have been adjourned as a result of disruptions over the Rafale jet seal.
While the Congress demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Rafale deal while members from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka fought over a proposal to build a dam on the Cauvery River.
