New Delhi: A man, who along with people affected shall not be named in any media platforms on the orders of the British High Court, is suing his now estranged wife after finding out that their 8-year-old son isn’t actually his.
Upon discovery of the distressing fact, the man has sued his wife for ‘every penny’ he ever spent on their son he later found out was not his.
On top of suing his estranged wife for ‘every penny’ he ever spent on the child, the man is also suing for the damage caused to his mental state.
The woman claims to have had the boy in an extramarital affair and knowledge of this was hidden from the husband.
Now waiting for a divorce to be finalized early next year, High Court Judge Mr Justice Cohen is said to overlook the case as well as the divorce proceedings to figure out how the money will be divided within the two.
High Court Judge Mr Justice Cohen in a private hearing in the Family Division Of The High Court in London, outlined his decision in a written ruling.
According to the Judge, the boy should be told of the news when ‘the time is right’ which will be decided by a social worker who will provide advice to the couple and examine an appropriate time for the boy to be told about the news.
The husband, who Justice Cohen described as ‘full of controlled anger’ however, believes the boy should be told as soon as possible, while his estranged wife does not favor the husband’s opinion.
As described by Justice Cohen, the woman seemed to be ‘full of remorse’ about the whole incident.
