MUMBAI: In a fresh attack on PM Narendra Modi and BJP, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray today said Ram temple issue is raked up before every election to heat up the Hindu sentiments and mocked PM and BJP for fooling people with the ‘mandir wahi banayenge‘ slogan.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray Thursday said the Ram temple issue is raked up before every election and wondered for how long will people be ‘fooled’ with the mandir wahi banayenge’slogan. Uddhav collected soil from Chhatrapati Shivaji’s birthplace on Thursday, which he will carry to Ayodhya.
The Shiv Sena finalised its programme, in Ayodhya for November 24-25, where Thackrey would be present, the RSS and VHP hurriedly declared its programme for November 25. “The soil where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born carries with it sentiments of all Hindus and collecting these sentiments will speed up the process of the construction of Ram temple,” he said.
Thackrey’s programme will include an “ashirwad samaroh” and then joining the “Saryu aarti” on the banks of Saryu and a visit to Ram Lalla site, following which he will address the media. A Sena functionary said a special train has been booked to ferry Shiv Sena members to Ayodhya for Mr Thackeray’s visit.
