PM Modi hits out To Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks On Sardar Patel Statue, says Congress is spreading lies

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi  reacted to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the Sardar Patel statue in Gujarat and said that Congress “spreading falsehood to mislead people” and accused it of insulting India’s first Home Minister.

Addressing booth-level Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers from Bilaspur, Basti, Chittorgarh, Dhanbad and Mandsaur via the NamoAppModi accused Congress and said Can the statue of Sardar Patel be in comparison with that of footwear made in China? Congress hates Sardar Patel a lot that they’ve began mud-slinging on the statue too,” Modi mentioned.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi had alleged at an election rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna, that the statue was being “Made in China”. The Statue of Unity, which is 182 metres from the ground and 240 metres from the river base of Narmada, has been completed and is slated to be inaugurated by Modi on the icon’s start anniversary on 31 October.
