Punjab CM says ISI is responsible for Amritsar grenade attack

PUNJAB: 3 days after the Amritsar grenade attack on Amritsar Nirankari Bhavan, Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday  blamed the Pakistani intelligence for fomenting trouble in the state. The Punjab government announced the arrest of one of the two perpetrators.

“One Bikramjit Singh has been arrested and search for another accused, Avtar Singh, is on,” Amarinder told the media here. The chief minister showed photographs of the two accused and assured that the second person would be nabbed soon.

Briefing media about the developments in Chandigarh, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh disclosed that Pakistan ISI was behind the Amritsar terror attack. Three people, including a preacher, were killed and more than 20 injured in the terror act on Sunday at Adliwal village near Amritsar’s Rajasansi village.
