A day after Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi’s house in Patna and quizzed son Tejashwi Yadav over the railway hotel tender case, she alleged a conspiracy against her family as the security was withdrawn from their residence.
Registering her anguish before media she blamed Nitish Kumar-led state government for everything. “The security was revoked at nine in the night. See what the government is doing? It is a conspiracy to get me and my family killed,” Rabri told.
The CBI had conducted a raid at Rabri’s Patna residence on Tuesday and questioned her son Tejashwi Yadav for in a case related to irregularities in awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation fo BNR hotels in Ranchi and Puri when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the railways minister from 2004 to 2009.
“I don’t have any fear. I go out to the public and the public will protect us. If God is above, then here we have the public,” Devi said on being asked if she fears for her security after the government withdrew the military jawans deputed at their residence. “If anything happens, the government will be responsible,” Rabri further added.
On Tuesday, the Bihar Government withdrew 32 Bihar Military Police jawans deputed at the Rabri Devi’s Patna residence.
