NEW DELHI: Donald Trump says he does not want to listen to an audio recording of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. In an interview released on Sunday, Trump said “It’s a suffering tape, it’s a terrible tape,” and does not want to listen to an audio recording of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.
The CIA has reportedly concluded the powerful Saudi Crown Prince ordered the killing but the White House is yet to endorse that assessment. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. Trump went on to concede that he is unsure whether Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has lied to him about the killing.
“The United States government is determined to hold all those responsible for the killing of Jamal Khashoggi accountable,” the State Department said in a statement.
