Two medical students dead after bike rams into divider in Delhi’s Signature Bridge

NEW DELHI: Two men on a motorcycle died on Friday morning  after their sports bike rammed into a divider at the newly-opened Signature Bridge over the Yamuna River in Delhi. The deceased have been identified as Satya Vijay Shankaran (23) and Chandra Shekhar. Both of them were rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be saved.

Additional DCP (east) Jasmeet Singh said: “A PCR call was made regarding an accident between 8.45 am and 9 am. Police officials from Timarpur station confirmed that the men were taking a left turn towards Majnu Ka Tila when they lost control of the bike.

Recently, a case of obscenity was filed after a video of transgenders stripping and dancing on the Signature Bridge was circulated online. This is the second accident in less than 24 hours on the Signature Bridge.
